PCC135 Kayaking at Canal rainforest shores on Gatun Lake

Explore by kayak the rainforest shores for wildlife along the Panama Canal and enjoy the beautiful scenery of Gatun Lake. Get close to nature by kayaking along islands and bays. Smoothly you glide next to the dense rainforest vegetation admiring some flowering vines and listening to the sounds the rainforest. You might discover a variety of birds, monkeys and other animals. All of a sudden you see around a corner of an island a big ship passing by and disappearing behind the trees.

We take single or double kayaks along on the Canal boat tour and put them down after an about half hour boat ride. The tour is 3 hours by kayak and 1 hour by boat. You might even see a big Neo-Panamax ship from your kayak or on the boat tour.

On the drive from Panama City parallel to the Canal you see Canal sites such as Miraflores and Pedro Miguel Locks and Culebra Cut.

The 8 hour tour includes guide, transportation, water, picnic lunch and a small rainforest walk in Soberania National Park. On the drive back you have the option to be dropped off at the visitors center of the Miraflores Locks or at your hotel.

On the drive back you have the option to be dropped off at the visitors center of the Miraflores Locks or at your hotel.
